Field of Life visited the beautiful village of Vamvakou in Laconia, in a three-hour full of fun program, during the #VamvakouExperienceFestival!

The children involved in our activities learned the secrets and values of basketball, made impressive experiments and created their own theatrical puppets!

With the festival’s slogan, "Back to Nature, Back to Yourself, Back to Life!", children took part in several creative activities next to mother nature!

Field of Life's team offered to every kid a healthy lunch box and a juice during the break and our doctor ensured the safety of the participants throughout the entire event.

Finally, Coach Panagiotis Giannakis, who was actively participated in every program, talked to the kids about their inner strength and all these challenges that can distract them from their goals. At the conclusion of our event, every kid received a special gift, in order to remember a special day with Field of Life!

About the Festival

Two years ago, on July, 13 of 2019, Vamvakou in Laconia welcomed its first visitors on a day of celebration that signaled the beginning of a new era for the village. It was an opening call to get acquainted with the Vamvakou Revival project, which is implemented with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). The Return to the Roots, which served as a symbol for both the Vamvakou Revival team, was the main pillar of that day and inspired Vamvakou Revival for the further development of the festival and its establishment as an annual meeting at the heart of Mount Parnon. However, in 2020, the circumstances imposed by the coronavirus pandemic turned any sort of programming upside down; as a result, we had to move our meeting with the visitors of the village to 2021.
