Dimitris Giannakakis was born in Athens in May 1983. He has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester and a master's degree in Project Management.
From the beginning of his professional career in Great Britain he worked as a Project Manager in big and complex projects. Since his return to Greece in 2006, he took part in many studies of public and private infrastructure projects, focused on road construction studies, port projects, waste treatment projects, water projects and building installations. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. In 2011 he founded the first Greek company for the prevention of child injuries.
Dimitris has been a close partner to coach Panagiotis Giannakis since 2008 and he led the designing and development of the basketball academy “Giannakis Academy”. In 2018, he took charge as a COO of Field of Life.
